Caroline Tagwireyi is an environmental expert with over 20 years multidisciplinary experience in conducting research & development, training and consultancy in environmental management. She has provided technical support, policy advisory services and consultancy in the area of climate change, air quality issues, resource efficiency and cleaner production (RECP) to Government ministries and departments, local authorities, industry, local & international non-governmental organizations. She has conducted more than 30 Environmental and Social Impact Assessment studies, 60 RECP and several monitoring and evaluations including policy development. She is an expert reviewer registered on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) roster of experts and has participated as a lead and expert reviewer of Annex 1 Biennial Reports and National Communications and Biennial Update Reports. Caroline has vast experience in the development of national inventories having participated in the air pollutant emission inventory for Zimbabwe, Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) inventory, Greenhouse Gas Inventory (Industrial Processes and Product Use) for Zimbabwe. She has served in several steering committees including the steering committees on the implementation of the Minamata Convention, Convention on Biological Diversity to name but a few. Caroline is proficient in English and her mother tongue Shona. She has basic knowledge of French.
