The highly toxic Thevetia peruviana (Yellow Oleander, Milk Bush, Lucky Nut), a highly toxic plant containing cardiac glycosides whose toxicity is similar to that of the drug digoxin. All parts of the plant are toxic with the seeds having the highest concentration of the cardiac glycosides. All parts of the plant produce milky juice which is also toxic. There are documented cases in the literature of accidental deaths in children after ingestion of the plant - so may not be a good plant to have around young toddlers. Target organ of toxicity: Heart
